The Harrogate Partial Knee Meeting

A two-day meeting focusing on Fixed-Bearing Unicompartmental and Patello-Femoral Arthroplasty.
Hosted in the delightful setting of the Pavilions of Harrogate, the course convenors are Harrogate Surgeons Nick London, Dave Duffy, Damian Bull and Mark Farndon. The meeting is aimed at senior orthopaedic trainees, knee fellows and new or established consultants. There is an excellent national and international faculty on board featuring David Barrett, Richard Parkinson, Paul Nicolai and Francesco Benazzo.
Following the recent NICE guidelines recommending UKA as a treatment modality that should be offered to suitable patients; a particular focus of the meeting will be how to safely grow a UKA practice.
Fixed-bearing partial knee arthroplasty is the gold standard for unicompartmental knee surgery combining outstanding patient outcomes and very low revision rates.
This comprehensive meeting will provide:
- a detailed review of the history and current state of partial knee arthroplasty
- guidance of national joint registry data and how to safely commence a partial knee practice
- clear evidence-based indications and selection criteria
- surgical techniques, tips and tricks for medial, lateral and patello-femoral arthroplasty
- panel discussions on assistive technology (including robotics), day surgery and other topics
The meeting is aimed at senior trainees, newly-appointed consultants and established consultants wishing to develop or expand their partial knee arthroplasty practice.
